Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Drywall Foreman to lead and manage drywall crews on commercial construction projects. This role is hands on and supervisory, responsible for daily jobsite operations, crew productivity, quality control, and safety. The Foreman works closely with superintendents and project managers to keep work on schedule and up to spec.
Responsibilities
- Supervise drywall crews performing metal framing, drywall hanging, and finishing
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
- Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and specifications
- Ensure work meets quality standards and project requirements
- Coordinate material needs, deliveries, and tool usage
- Monitor productivity and keep the project on schedule
- Enforce jobsite safety rules and company policies
- Conduct daily safety meetings and job briefings as needed
- Communicate progress, issues, and manpower needs to supervisors
- Train and mentor crew members when needed
- Perform drywall and framing work as needed alongside the crew
- Proven experience as a Drywall Foreman or Lead Drywall Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall installation, and finishing
- Ability to read blueprints and layout walls, ceilings, and soffits
- Experience leading crews on commercial projects
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices
- Reliable transportation and tools for the trade
- Ability to work full time and meet project schedules
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience on large commercial or industrial projects
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
