Hours: Monday–Friday; 7:00AM–4:00PM or 8:00AM–5:00PM

OverviewThe Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance and sales teams by ensuring customer accounts are up to date. This role involves high attention to detail, accuracy in handling large volumes of transactions, and proactive communication with both internal departments and customers.
Job Description- Post and verify customer payments using SAP and other payment platforms
- Record and reconcile transactions, resolve discrepancies, and manage customer account portfolios
- Maintain and update account records including contact information, account notes, and status updates
- Perform collection procedures as per company SOPs and elevate as necessary
- Ensure all customer accounts comply with relevant credit laws and internal policies
- Handle cash applications for checks, cash, EFT, Online Bill Pay, and NSFs; notify relevant parties of term changes
- Manage monthly statements and coordinate with sales to resolve account disputes
- Respond to inquiries from drivers and departments regarding payment or delivery instructions
- Support daily deposits and maintain accurate records of cash control sheets
- Provide courteous, efficient customer service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail for processing high volumes of data
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and credit procedures
- Working knowledge of SAP financial modules
- Experience with mathematical and analytical concepts (fractions, algebra, statistics)
- Familiarity with additional MS Office applications
