Civil Engineering - Project Manager

Overview

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) based in Boston, MA, you will lead client and project management, overseeing the technical, financial and business development aspects across a range of land development projects.

You will work with Principals in the Civil/Site Practice to build strong client relationships, represent the company at conferences and regulatory meetings, and coordinate across practices such as survey, geotechnical, traffic, environmental, ecological and more.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand and help them achieve their goals.

Represent CEC at conferences, events and project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.

Work closely with CEC professionals locally and nationally to identify opportunities, build business relationships and apply best practices to address client needs.

Collaborate with your Principal to develop project schedules, assemble project teams, assign tasks and coordinate multiple disciplines.

Maintain involvement throughout the design of the project and mentor junior and mid‑level staff in planning, design, permitting and execution.

Conduct technical reviews of client deliverables.

Pay range: $90,000 to $145,000 (good faith estimate).

• 7+ years of relevant design and permitting experience, including earth disturbance, stormwater permits and municipal approval processes.
• B.S./M.S. in engineering (civil or environmental) or related degree.
• Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) preferred.
• Civil design and permitting experience related to layout, grading, stormwater and erosion and sediment control required.
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities and contribute to new opportunities.
• Ability to manage multi‑discipline projects, eg survey, environmental, geotechnical, construction services.
• Ability and desire to mentor junior staff.
