EHS Engineer

Engineer 3 – EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety)

Duration: 13-Month Contract with potential to extend or convert
Pay:
Up to $53/hr.

Seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead and support Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs across a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. This role provides technical expertise, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential.

• Lead and implement Safety programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks through robust EHS processes.
• Conduct assessments, audits, and data analysis to drive improvement strategies.
• Support incident response teams, safety committees, and site inspections.
• Provide technical guidance on facility changes, equipment purchases, and new product development.
• Deploy electronic permitting/work authorization systems.
• Develop and deliver Safety training and awareness programs.
• Oversee contractor safety and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Maintain accurate schedules, documentation, and compliance reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related science).
• 4+ years of relevant EHS experience.
• Strong background in Safety and Industrial Hygiene: hazard evaluation, exposure assessment, mitigation.
• Technical knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven project leadership experience including schedules/budget oversight.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (presentations, spreadsheets, reports, graphs).

• Certifications:
  
  CSP, CIH, CHMM

• Experience with EHS data reporting/tracking systems.
• Background supporting contractor safety, ergonomics, electrical/machine safety, or biosafety.
• Experience in a high‑volume manufacturing/production environment.
