Responsibilities
  • Oversee service department operations to ensure customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability.
  • Maintain reporting systems as required by dealership and manufacturer.
  • Work with upper management to identify areas of improvement and implementation of solutions for optimal department and dealership performance.
  • Establish and retain customer relationships by ensuring exceptional, efficient service and customer follow up.
  • Assist customers in resolving complaints in an immediate but professional manner.
  • Monitor quality vehicle and customer service to minimize comebacks and maximize CSI scores.
  • Collaborate with sales, parts, BDC, office and upper management for seamless operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire, lead, and retain employees in service department including technicians, advisors, dispatch, and other supporting service staff.
  • Monitor service personnel performance and assist in training.
  • Ensure staff has proper trainings per manufacturer and dealership standards.
  • Compliance with company, OSHA, and right-to-know policies and practices.
  • Understand and sustain manufacturer standards, including but not limited to, warranty guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive experience.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ready and willing to learn.
  • Prepared to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
