Affiliated Financial Services, a tax, accounting and bookkeeping firm located in Reading, Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team for the 2027 tax season.
This is an in-person, January–April 2027 position for an experienced tax professional who is detail-oriented, dependable and comfortable working directly with clients in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare individual and corporate federal and state tax returns
- Prepare partnership, trust and tax-exempt organization returns
- Review client general ledgers, make necessary adjustments and prepare journal entries
- Prepare payroll, sales tax and property tax reports
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax and accounting matters
- Minimum of three years of recent tax preparation experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Strong Quick Books, Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Experience with Lacerte Tax Software is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational and client-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during tax season
Job Type: Seasonal
Schedule: Monday–Friday, January–April 2027
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
