This position is based in our Reading branch (470 Main Street), and supports Region Two:
Burlington, Lawrence, Lynn, Medford, Peabody-Andover St., Peabody-Main St., Reading, Salem, and Tewksbury.
Mileage will be reimbursed when working at branches other than your “home” branch in Reading.

All branch employees are scheduled weekly to ensure branch hours are properly staffed:
Monday - Wednesday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM;
Thursday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM;
Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Language Requirement

Fluency in both English and Spanish is a requirement.

Provide float branch coverage for various job functions in both front-end member service and secondary back-end support services. Cover member needs across a variety of delivery channels, such as face to face, over the phone, and online.

Guide members through a variety of financial transactions and provide new and existing members with information about Metro’s offerings, provide banking assistance and advice in determining which products and services best meet member needs, open member accounts, and provide problem resolution. Participate in sales initiatives and service programs to meet both branch and credit union goals.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide float coverage to assigned Region’s branches by assisting with day-to-day operations, open and closing of branch locations, teller and member service support
  • Assist with secondary support duties via phone support for the Universal Service Center and answering Secure Messages
  • Identify financial needs of new and existing members while providing exemplary service and instilling a strong business relationship
  • Accurately complete all account opening requirements, teller transactions, and end of day branch balancing, as assigned
  • Conduct consumer loan interviews; aid members in the completion of loan applications including verifying identification, obtaining required signatures, and ensuring that approval conditions are met
  • Contribute to sales goals; make effective referrals to Retail partners
  • Resolve member escalations by determining cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution, expediting correction/adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution meets the members needs
  • Comply with all Metro policies and standard operating procedures (“SOPs”), with particular attention to Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) and security transactions, and Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”)
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and bank operations
  • Provide supervisory support to branch staff in the absence of a dedicated Branch Supervisor when assigned to a branch location; this includes open and closing of branch locations, providing transaction approvals to other staff members, handling staffing issues and addressing member escalations
  • Mileage will be reimbursed when working at branches other than your “home” branch in Reading
Compensation Disclosure

$22.50 - $30.43/hr.
