Opportunity Overview

The Innovation Lab is an advanced R&D team that is part of the Semiconductor Test Division  have a dual charter to technically support the growth of the division and the company:

  • Create long‑term differentiated solutions for our core Semiconductor Test business by exploring new technologies and architectures applied against current and emerging key requirements for our customers.
  • Work with our Business Development Office to develop differentiated solutions for new business opportunities adjacent to our core business, generally enabling new businesses within our existing customer base.

As a member of the Innovation Lab Staff, you will be empowered to propose any project that can make a difference relative to the Innovation Lab Charter. You will typically be the owner of the projects you sponsor and lead development through a proof‑of‑concept phase. You will be hands‑on during the project and supported by other staff from the overall engineering team as required to execute your project.

A level of risk taking is strongly encouraged to move the needle for the area associated with each project.

  • MS in Physics preferred or MS in Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of working experience in design engineering with increasing focus on developing innovative technical solutions on projects.
  • Experience in the architectural definition of products leading to competitive differentiation.
  • Broad technical curiosity, versatility across multiple technologies and engineering disciplines, and an inherent “out of the box” bias in problem solving.
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following is desired:
    Instrumentation Architecture, Logic Design, Software, ASIC Technology, System Architecture, High‑Performance Signal Delivery, Optics, Thermal Control.
  • Knowledge and preferably experience in the Semiconductor Industry and Semiconductor Testing.
  • Comfortable in customer‑facing and senior management interactions.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $166,300‑$266,100. This range is a good faith estimate; the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set and can fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
