The Innovation Lab is an advanced R&D team that is part of the Semiconductor Test Division have a dual charter to technically support the growth of the division and company:
- Create long term differentiated solutions for our core Semiconductor Test business by exploring new technologies and architectures to be applied against current and emerging key requirements for our customers.
- Working with our Business Development Office, develop differentiated solutions for new business opportunities adjacent to our core business. These will generally enable new businesses within our existing customer base.
As a member of the Innovation Lab Staff, you will be empowered to propose any project that you feel can make a difference relative to the Innovation Lab Charter. In general, you will “own” the projects you sponsor and lead the development through a proof-of-concept phase. You will typically be hands‑on during the project and will be supported by other staff from the overall engineering team as required to execute your project.
Some level of risk taking is strongly encouraged to “move the needle” for the area associated with each project.

- BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS Preferred
- At least 15 years working experience in mechanical design engineering with an increasing focus on developing innovative technical solutions on projects.
- Experience overseeing projects from architectural concept to completion ensuring the product meets requirements for performance, schedule and cost.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
- The candidate should have broad technical curiosity and have an inherent "Out of the Box" bias in problem solving.
- Technical expertise in most of the following is desired:
Precision Machine Design, Finite Element Analysis, Thermal Design and Analysis, Machine Automation, Tolerance Analysis - Knowledge and preferably experience in the Semiconductor Industry and Semiconductor Testing.
- Comfortable in customer facing and senior management interactions.

CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $153,. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive PlanThis job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
