As part of Gallagher, you will be joining a team that delivers more than policies; you will provide proactive risk‑management consulting, innovative solutions, and an unmatched level of client service. You have the ability to sit out any of our Reading, Cambridge, or Natick office locations.
- Lead meetings with clients, including negotiating, selling lines of insurance, and renewal meetings at client locations.
- Provide comprehensive client support and act as main client contact for book of business.
- Effectively manage difficult client communications including loss of coverage, claim denials, unfavorable underwriting and other challenging renewal scenarios.
- Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate.
- Own all audit, review and claims processes for assigned book of business.
- Analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the needs of the client and circumstances of the presentation.
- Manage and develop strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
- Forecast industry trends to predict needed changes in client strategies.
- Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the larger service team and directly to clients, in addition to cross‑selling other lines of business.
- Mentor or lead the work of more junior team members.
- Facilitate and collaborate with the account team on the agency’s renewal strategy.
- Create complex risk‑management strategies for accounts and other team members to attract and retain large client accounts.
- Partner with industry and carrier experts to deliver strategy and solution options to clients and the broader agency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.
Required: Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years client service and/or claims management experience – or high school degree/GED with 8+ years client service and/or claims management experience. Producer’s license. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Appropriate P&C licensing as required.
Preferred: Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships. Solid financial acumen.
