Lube Technician

Seidel Hyundai is seeking a skilled and motivated Lube Technician to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles. This is an individual contributor role, and the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance on all makes and models of vehicles
• Inspect and replace filters and fluids as needed
• Conduct multi-point inspections to identify potential maintenance needs
• Diagnose and repair minor vehicle issues, including belts, hoses, and bulbs
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle recommendations and repairs
• Keep accurate records of all services performed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair techniques
• Ability to use and interpret diagnostic equipment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
