IT Desktop Support Technician

We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical assistance for end users in Reading, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving hardware, software, and workplace technology issues while delivering dependable day-to-day support. The person in this role will help maintain a productive desktop environment, respond to service needs efficiently, and contribute to a smooth user experience across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and common workplace applications.
• Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and complete timely resolutions to minimize disruption for employees.
• Set up, configure, deploy, and refresh end-user equipment while ensuring systems are ready for business use.
• Track incidents, service requests, and completed work accurately to support clear communication and measurable deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support testing activities, including A/B testing efforts related to user-facing technology changes.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks by preparing devices, managing access needs, and recovering equipment when required.
• Perform deskside support for users who need hands-on troubleshooting, software installation, or device connectivity assistance.
• Follow established support procedures and contribute ideas that improve service quality and the overall support experience.
