Fabricator, Manufacturing ​/ Production

dormakaba is seeking a Fabricator based onsite in Reamstown, PA. The Fabricator operates milling machines, various small hand tools, metal cutting equipment, and small presses to assist in production operations, assembling components from cut and prepared materials to the final packaging of finished products.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $24/hr.

- $27/hr overtime may be mandatory as needed. (Base pay to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). • Use tape measures and calipers to ensure quality specifications are met
• Inspect unassembled materials to ensure proper finish, length, and shape as defined on drawings and order documentation
• Assemble product by positioning parts per requirements of the unit being assembled or by following shop drawings, operation method sheets and quality control requirements
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts
• Perform minor tool changes and minor machine set-ups to cut, saw, drill and mill components

• High school diploma and/ or GED certification
• 2+ years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

• Previous fabrication experience
• Experience working with various metals
• Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered)
• Experience with calipers
