Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Apointe are proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic global FMCG business to hire a proactive Accountant. In this role, you will take ownership of management accounts within the EMEA region, delivering sharp analysis and dependable financial support to drive results. • Management Accounting:
  Prepare monthly country management accounts
• Balance Sheet Integrity:
  Lead monthly reconciliations for key accounts (cash, payroll) and oversee the review of entire balance sheets.
• Journal Management:
  Process monthly journals, including the preparation and posting of prepayments, accruals, and payroll.
• Statutory & Audit Support:
  Deliver statutory accounts and reporting obligations while providing clear responses to auditors.
• Operational Finance:
  Support country-specific requirements such as benefit-in-kind calculations and treasury functions.

  Collaboration:
  
  Assist with ad-hoc queries and accounting workloads to support the wider team during peak periods.

• Proven Experience:
  
  At least two years’ experience in management accountancy roles.
• Technical Knowledge: understanding of financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Systems Proficiency:
  Essential MS Excel skills (lookups/pivots), experience with Oracle Cloud or Essbase is preferred.
• Proactive Mindset: A quick learner who is dependable, accurate, and ready to take ownership of deadlines.
