Manager​/Assistant Manager, Tax Audit and Accounting Group

The role

BDO’s Tax Accounting Group is a national group bringing together tax professionals who specialise in tax accounting and tax audit work. As an Assistant Manager on this team, you will have exposure to our largest, highest‑profile audits across a range of groups and sectors. You will also assist with complex tax reporting for non‑audit clients, including preparing tax consolidations and the tax accounting aspects of GAAP conversions, carve‑out accounting and acquisition accounting.

Our clients include FTSE and AIM listed groups, large inbounds and private‑equity backed businesses. You will work closely with more senior professionals, benefit from on‑the‑job coaching to build up your expertise, and be responsible for a portfolio of audit clients across a number of sectors. Over time, you will train junior members, liaise with audit teams, and develop project‑management skills to ensure deliverables are provided on time.

Applications are encouraged from newly/recently qualified auditors who are interested in moving into tax, or from professionals qualified in tax who want to specialise in tax reporting and the tax audit.

• Has a minimum of three years audit and/or tax experience with a Big Four or mid‑tier firm.
• ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Has developed project‑management skills and is able to manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines.
• Has experience of coaching more junior staff.
• Has experience of dealing with clients directly.
