Senior Associate – Audit (Not‑For‑Profit)
Join our award‑winning Not‑For‑Profit audit team as a Senior Associate. In this role you will work directly with charities, schools, academies, grant makers, membership organisations, professional bodies and other non‑profit clients. You will provide audit services, manage a small team of auditors, and contribute to client relationship development and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of non‑profit clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and professional standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback to support their development.
- Manage day‑to‑day engagement activities, including planning, fieldwork, review, and reporting.
- Engage with clients to understand their business and operational context, adding value through thoughtful insights and recommendations.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for additional audit and advisory services.
- A genuine passion for audit and the charities, non‑profit and social‑purpose sector, inspiring colleagues and clients alike.
- Strong leadership and role‑modeling abilities, setting an admirable example for trainees.
- Proven drive for delivering exceptional client service, building and maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Strategic thinking and a willingness to look beyond audit, promoting innovation, talent development and culture improvement.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration, supporting colleagues in a variety of ways.
- Previous audit experience and a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Experience working with not‑for‑profit clients is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills and confidence in client interaction.
- Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK as required by new government policy effective April 2024.
