Financial accounting role within the financial reporting team responsible for a wide variety of tasks including producing balance sheets reconciliations, month end processes and journals in line with IFRS, Stantec Accounting policies and internal SOX controls. Assisting with the preparation of internal and external financial statements and working closely with internal and external auditors. Working closely with the wider financial accounting team to complete financial closes, corporate reporting, Statutory accounts and audits for Stantec UK including Middle East and Ireland Branches as well as the UK Holding companies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Month end close processes.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in both internal and external audits throughout the year, working directly with auditors in areas of focus.
- Assist in quarterly corporate reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for the UK entities.
- Studying towards an advanced accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply accounting principles.
- Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
