Position: Billing Operations Coordinator – Contract

SALT is supporting a global enterprise software provider in hiring a Billing Operations Coordinator.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role ensures accurate and timely billing across a high‑volume order processing environment. The Billing Operations Coordinator supports sales teams, billing specialists and internal stakeholders to meet billing KPIs, uphold internal controls, and maintain revenue accuracy. The position plays a key part in continuous improvement initiatives and embracing change within a fast‑moving billing function.

4 month contract, inside IR35 Hybrid working in Reading £28.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Process orders and complete accurate invoicing aligned with internal billing targets and legal agreement requirements.
  • Verify revenue recognition criteria to ensure orders can be booked.
  • Troubleshoot billing and order management issues to support cash collection goals.
  • Manage internal stakeholder queries regarding billing processes, controls, and policies.
  • Follow all internal controls to maintain compliance and protect the organisation’s brand.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the billing function.
ABOUT YOU
  • 2+ years’ experience in a billing, finance, or similar operations environment (software/tech industry advantageous).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.
  • Working knowledge of billing systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or Salesforce beneficial.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and exposure to reviewing legal agreements.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self‑starter with strong teamwork skills and comfort with change.
