Are you an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician seeking a new challenge within a reputable dealership?
Our client, a leading automotive retailer in Reading, is looking to appoint a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team.

- Up to £40,000 basic salary, with potential earnings of £50,250 OTE through bonus schemes
- Monday to Friday, 45-hour working week with a Saturday rota

- Conduct complex diagnostic, warranty, and repair work on various vehicle makes and models
- Carry out electrical vehicle repairs and hydraulic jobs in accordance with manufacturer standards (if qualified)
- Utilise diagnostic software and specialised tools to identify and resolve intricate technical issues
- Support and mentor Apprentice Technicians, promoting team growth and knowledge sharing within the role of Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs completed
- Contribute to the ongoing success of the workshop by adhering to health and safety procedures
- Hold a full Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
- Possess a recognised Diagnostic qualification or relevant equivalent
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or a similar role is preferred, but brand-specific training will be considered
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including EV technology
- Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and software outputs
- Strong team player with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service
- Enthusiastic about continuous learning, especially in new automotive technology and hybrid systems
- Valid driving licence
