About the Role

Our client, a leading automotive service and repair business, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their established workshop in Caversham.

You will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet DVSA safety standards, carrying out MOT inspections, identifying faults, and providing customers with clear and professional advice on their vehicle's condition.

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations and standards
• Accurately identify and report vehicle defects, failures, and advisories
• Communicate MOT outcomes and repair recommendations professionally
• Maintain accurate testing records and workshop documentation
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the MOT process
• Support the wider workshop team as required
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A valid MOT Testing Licence
• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working as an MOT Tester
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting customers and colleagues

• £34,000 - £40,000 basic salary
