Position Goal:
To assist the Director of Food Service in the management and supervision of the production and service of food in support of the educational system of the District.
Supervises all food service staff as assigned.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum two years training in commercial food service; minimum three years experience in commercial food preparation; minimum one year supervisory experience; general knowledge of requirements of the National School Lunch Program.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid driver's license with a good driving record.
Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as food safety rules, union contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply basic arithmetic calculations using units of American money, weight measurements, volume and distance.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions and percentages.
- Ability to apply financial concepts.
- Ability to apply simple understanding to carry out detailed but basic written and/or oral instruction.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and make work related decisions.
- Ability to use a personal computer with database.
