As a Senior Business Analyst, your role is critical to supporting Thames’ progress towards achieving business area goals and desired outcomes and you will bring your experience of working with complex business problems & projects to drive this.

You'll influence senior stakeholders, shape strategic decisions, mentor other analysts, and play a key role in building the future of Business Analysis within the organisation.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Business Analyst- Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation to build trusted relationships and tailor communication to their needs.
- Work with project teams, portfolio and business stakeholders both within and outside your domain area to build relationships while also meeting user needs. Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders.
- Leads business analysts’ team where there is more than 1 on a project
- Apply Business Analysis techniques to analyse current services and processes against problem statements, needs, and outcomes.
- Evaluate and document business requirements and non-functional requirements using relevant techniques
- Work closely with business areas on the opportunities, guide and positively challenge preconceptions and drive collaboration across teams to optimise opportunities within projects.
- Seek the necessary agreement and approval of documentation with appropriate stakeholders to proceed through stages of delivery.
- Ensure all documentation & deliverables meet the required quality to ensure the successful delivery of the outcome with minimal defects/missing scope.
- Able to influence others and work collaboratively within project teams at all levels.
- Work with the lead BA to support the ongoing development of the BA team, sharing knowledge and best practice. Helping lead the adoption of agile principles practices and cultural changes to improve how Thames Water delivers change across the organisation
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role is:
- Business Analysis experience working in a digital project environment
- Extensive understanding and experience of applying Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies and tools i.e. ADO
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation
- Ability to work on complex projects with multiple delivery partners/stakeholders e.g. introduction of new platforms that drive significant business transformation
- BCS (or equivalent) Diploma
