The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of allocated projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The Role
* Manage projects from initial planning through to completion
* Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements
* Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers and external partners
* Monitor project progress, costs, quality and programme performance
* Manage project budgets, forecasting and cost control
* Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies
* Oversee contractor and supplier performance
* Manage project-level change, variations and approvals
* Support project mobilisation and implementation
* Undertake site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance
* Identify defects or non-compliance and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken
* Maintain accurate project records, documentation and audit trails
* Produce regular project and performance reports
* Manage stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle
* Work alongside other Project Managers to manage programme-level interdependencies
* Ensure projects comply with relevant health and safety, building safety and regulatory requirements
* Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement across project delivery
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering projects within a structured project or programme environment, ideally within construction, property, housing, asset management or a related sector.
You will ideally have experience of:
* Managing projects through the full lifecycle
* Developing and managing detailed project plans
* Budget management, forecasting and cost control
* Contractor, supplier and consultant management
* Risk, issue and change management
* Site inspections and monitoring project delivery
* Quality assurance and compliance
* Working within formal governance and reporting frameworks
* Managing multiple projects or complex programmes
* Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Producing project reports and maintaining accurate project documentation
A relevant qualification in Project Management, Construction, Business or a related discipline is desirable, along with a project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
Candidates with strong practical project delivery experience will also be considered where formal qualifications are not held.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join an established organisation, working on a varied portfolio of projects with a combination of home-based working and regular site visits across the South East
