Architectural Technician / Trainee Building Surveyor - MCIAT

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician with MCIAT qualification who is looking to broaden their professional experience and progress towards becoming a RICS Chartered Surveyor.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and experience within the built environment, while developing their skills in building surveying, inspections, defect diagnosis, condition reporting and property consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake building surveys, inspections and condition assessments.
Assist with defect diagnosis and prepare clear technical reports.
Produce and review technical drawings and construction information.
Support dilapidations, schedules of condition and planned maintenance projects.
Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and other professionals.
Assist with project and contract administration where required.
Develop knowledge and experience across wider building surveying disciplines.
Work towards the relevant RICS competencies and APC requirements, with support and mentoring provided.
About You

MCIAT qualified Architectural Technologist/Technician.
Relevant experience within architecture, architectural technology, construction or the built environment.
Strong technical understanding of building construction and detailing.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Confident working independently and as part of a professional team.
Keen to develop a career in Building Surveying and become RICS Chartered.
RICS/APC experience is desirable but not essential.
