, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package:
Starting £38,880 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is operational and customer facing, so employees are required to work fully onsite. We support flexible working arrangements where possible, including part-time and varied working hours, while maintaining an onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of facilities management services across a portfolio of operational facilities.
- Act as a key point of contact for facility users, helping to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
- Monitor compliance activities and support the management of facility risks and control measures.
- Coordinate maintenance, statutory inspections and service provider activities.
- Assist in ensuring facilities are maintained to appropriate safety, security and environmental standards.
- Support the implementation of work control processes and safe systems of work.
- Provide data, reports and operational insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure facility changes and upgrades are effectively integrated into operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
- Build effective relationships with operational customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with in facilities management, estates management, property operations or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders in a service delivery environment.
- Ability to analyse information and identify practical solutions to operational issues.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
- IWFM membership or working towards professional accreditation (desirable).
- Experience working in a regulated, infrastructure, defence, nuclear or industrial environment (desirable).
- Experience managing contractors or service providers (desirable).
- Understanding of asset management, work control or compliance management processes (desirable).
- Ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload.
- Initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- 9-day working fortnight – meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
