Video Content Specialist
ClassificationRSSSA, Range 6 (215); 12-Month
Reports ToDirector of Communications
Position GoalThe Video Content Specialist will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that aligns with district goals, branding, and messaging. This position will focus on content creation and production, not the management or posting of social media accounts. The role will play a critical part in elevating the district's storytelling through cinematic-quality video, motion graphics, and large-scale production efforts.

Education and/or Experience- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, film/video production, or related field.
- Five years experience in video production and editing content for multi-platform use.
- Comprehensive understanding of digital photography, including composition, lighting, and DSLR camera operation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard creative software used for video production, audio editing, photography, graphic design, animation, and motion graphics, including Adobe Creative Cloud, motion graphics platforms, and mobile editing applications.
- Experience with scriptwriting, storyboarding, and production planning.
- Ability to manage and execute large-scale video projects from concept to completion.
- Strong creative vision with attention to detail and quality.
- Understanding of branding, messaging consistency, and audience engagement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Drone Operator's license (preferred but not required).
Skills and Abilities
- Exemplary writing, speaking, editing, photography, video and news reporting skills; including the use of computer software for publishing and editing.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrative positive attitude, and ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate in concise manner effectively to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage complex communication projects, involving multiple sites and diverse audience.
- Ability to work successfully under pressure and handle multiple and changing priorities and requests from a wide variety of sources, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups in a variety of settings with persons of diverse backgrounds, experiences and agendas.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish/English preferred.
Full-time (12-month) non-exempt position. Salary and benefits consistent with the District's approved Compensation and Benefits Plan and/or individual contract.
