Youth Mental Health Foundation is looking for a Creative Designer & Video Editor

THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a versatile, creative, and dependable freelance Designer & Video Editor to become our go-to creative partner on an ongoing, ad-hoc basis. All of our core brand collateral has been built in Canva, so high proficiency with Canva is essential. However, we welcome your expertise across other creative tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, InDesign, Word Press, etc.)

where appropriate. This role combines promo video editing, design of leaflets, brochures and workbooks & printer liaison.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Video Editing:

Editing engaging, heart-led promotional and educational video ads (approx. 3–10 minutes) for our parenting courses and community.
A-roll and B-roll footage will be supplied.
Bringing a sharp creative eye for pacing, visual hooks, B-roll placement, text overlays/captions, and smooth transitions to keep people watching!

2. Print & Marketing Materials:

Designing eye-catching, professional leaflets, flyers, and multi-page brochures to support our community outreach, schools, and corporate sales.
Ensuring all artwork is accurately set up for commercial printing (bleed, margins, resolution, and clean layout).
Liaising directly with our print company to clarify technical specifications, handle file submissions, check proofs, and ensure everything runs smoothly through to print sign-off.

3. Large ‘Train The Trainer’ Workbook Layout (Scheduled for Spring):

Designing the layout for our upcoming second major training workbook.
All core visual assets, illustrations, and content will be supplied (modelled after our existing 178-page parenting workbook), requiring your layout, formatting, and typographic consistency to bring it to completion.

4. Ongoing Ad-Hoc Design:

Creating social graphics, slide decks, and digital assets as needed following our established brand guidelines.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Canva Fluent: Deeply confident working inside Canva, structuring templates, and maintaining brand consistency.
Video Storyteller: Experience cutting engaging short-to-medium-form promotional or educational videos that connect emotionally with viewers.
Print & Web Versatility
: A solid eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy across physical print (brochures, leaflets).
Confident Communicator: Confident dealing directly with commercial printers to resolve technical details and approve proofs.
Collaborative & Detail-Oriented: Able to take clear briefs and direction, while bringing creative initiative and fresh ideas to the table.
Heart & Values Alignment: A living Christian faith or genuine resonance with our Christian ethos, with a natural compassion for youth and family mental health.
