Reading | £55,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Ready to take ownership of the design process on live construction projects?
A highly respected national main contractor is looking to appoint a Design Manager to support the successful delivery of projects across the South of England. Based from the Reading office, you will work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs are coordinated and delivered effectively from inception through to completion.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the design process throughout project delivery, ensuring design information is coordinated, compliant, and issued in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the design process from project inception to completion.
* Lead multidisciplinary design teams and consultants.
* Monitor design progress and ensure information is delivered on time.
* Resolve technical issues and mitigate design-related risks.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
* Visit project sites across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, and the surrounding areas as required (no overnight stays necessary).
About You
* Minimum 2 years' design experience within a contractor, subcontractor, or consultancy environment.
* Strong technical and construction knowledge.
* Excellent coordination and communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Full UK driving licence.
