1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Reading

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school community in Reading this January.
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, providing essential academic, emotional, and behavioural support to help them reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and personal development.
Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant:- Individualised Support: Provide tailored one-to-one assistance based on the student's unique learning needs, whether academic, behavioural, or emotional.
- Support Learning: Assist in delivering engaging lessons, adapting resources and tasks to meet the student's learning style and ensuring full participation.
- Track Progress: Monitor the student's progress and share regular updates with the class teacher and SENCO to support effective planning.
- Encourage Growth: Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help the student build confidence, independence, and essential social skills.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Patience & Empathy: A calm, understanding approach to supporting students, especially during challenging situations.
- Adaptability: The ability to adjust your support based on the child's individual needs and learning pace.
- Strong Communication: Clear, respectful communication with students, staff, and families to support consistent learning and development.
- Make a Meaningful Impact: Help a child overcome challenges and achieve their personal and academic goals.
- Build Lasting Relationships: Develop a strong, supportive connection with the student you work with.
- Ongoing Training: Access professional development and build a rewarding career in education or SEN support.
- 90- 95 per day
- Based in Reading
- Full Time
Hours:
8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday
