About the role

Are you a trained Mechanic or Motor Vehicle expert looking to take next steps in your career? Activate Learning is currently looking for a tutor/trainer in Motor Vehicle or a technician looking to develop into teaching, to join our team at Reading college.

As a Motor Vehicle teacher, you will teach the full spectrum of Motor Vehicle courses to our students. A background in Motor Vehicle work is essential, together with experience of new technology including hybrid.

You will need a flexible approach, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes we develop within our learners.

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Motor Vehicle
  • Educated to GCSE level 4/C or equivalent including Math & English
  • Industry experience
  • Experience of hybrid technology

This is a full time (37 hours per week), permanent contract based at Reading college.
