About the role:

English Teacher

Activate Learning are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring GCSE English teacher to join our team based at our Reading College. You will be responsible for helping learners on our travel and tourism and health and social care courses achieve their GCSE.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position working on a Thursday, teaching 13:30-16:50 with 2 hours of additional admin time (0.14 FTE) at our Reading College.

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.

Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

• A level 3 qualification in English or a related subject
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
