As a youth mental health assistant, you would be working with experienced and dedicated staff to facilitate a positive and supportive learning environment.

* Pay: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)

* You are passionate about working with vulnerable young people

* You want to pursue a career in mental health or education

* You hold a GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

* You can work well in a team and have excellent communication skills

* You may have previous experience with SEN or in a care/support role with young people (preferred, not essential)

What you can expect to do as a Youth mental health assistant:

* Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in class and during interventions

* Working with students to develop healthy coping strategies and emotional safety

* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support

* Monitoring progress and reporting back to a wider team in order to provide high-quality care

* Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students with their daily routines
