Affinity Workforce is working in partnership with a primary
school and Multi Academy Trust in Reading, and we are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.
We have a high demand for staff, offering both flexible day to day work and longer term placements. Whether you're looking for immediate shifts, 1:1 support roles, or something more consistent, we can help find the right opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Assisting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to follow EHCPs and support plans
- Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
- Experience in a school or educational setting (preferred)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Reliability and strong communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A dedicated consultant specialising in SEND and education recruitment
