As our school continues to flourish, we are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning, skilled in supporting pupils with SEND, and excited to contribute to the ongoing development of our provision.

What you will be doing

Planning and delivering high‑quality teaching for individuals and small groups

Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress

Contributing to whole‑school development and improvement

Creating stimulating, well‑organised learning environments

Developing and reviewing IEPs, behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways

Working collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and multi‑professional teams

Ensuring pupil safety through effective planning and risk assessment

Supporting pupils to develop self‑regulation and positive behaviour

Maintaining accurate records in line with school and regulatory requirements

Safeguarding all pupils and promoting their wellbeing

What you will bring

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A passion for PE that inspires participation, confidence and wellbeing

The ability to thrive in a fun, purposeful and sometimes challenging environment

Strong relationship-building skills, using restorative practice and teamwork to engage pupils

Resilience, approachability and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for motivating pupils

Creativity in teaching, with a focus on bringing out the best in every learner

A full driving licence

About Us

Groveside School is a Special Educational Needs School for Pupils 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school opened in September 2024 and will cater for 60 pupils.
