A thriving and forward-thinking primary school in Reading is looking to appoint a talented Year 1 Teacher from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 1 Teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and making a lasting impact during a key stage of children's learning journey.

The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who can create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and supported to achieve their best.
Working alongside experienced colleagues and skilled support staff, you will play a key role in ensuring pupils make strong academic and personal progress throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
About You
The ideal Year 1 Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience teaching within Key Stage
1. Strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for primary education are essential.
