Youth Mental Health Support (Reading)
A friendly school in Reading is looking to add a Youth Mental Health Support assistant to their team starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities- Support the students with their needs in the classroom
- Help them find healthy and positive ways to cope with their emotions
- Teach them ways to regulate their emotions
- Help them reach their academic and personal goals
- De‑escalate any behaviour and redirect their attention
- Facilitate and help deliver any interventions designed to help the students flourish
- Support the students during their work day
- Has a positive attitude
- Kind and enthusiastic to make a difference
- Passionate about helping
- Takes initiative and is proactive
- Understands the importance of safeguarding
- Patient
- Background in psychology, education, sports, art or drama, or similar
- Location:
Reading - Start date:
ASAP - Pay: £90–£110 per day
- Working hours:
Full‑time or part‑time options - Age group: 11‑18 years old
- Term time only
