Female PE Teacher (Girls’ PE Focus) – September Start

Location: SloughSalary: M1 – UPS3 (Fringe Allowance) + TLR (dependent on experience and leadership responsibilities)Start Date: September 2026Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher with a specialism in Girls’ Physical Education to join our thriving and supportive school in Slough from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for both early career teachers and experienced practitioners, with leadership opportunities available for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of sport, health, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons, with a strong focus on girls’ participation and achievement
  • Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced PE curriculum
  • Support extracurricular sport and enrichment opportunities
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring excellent outcomes
  • Take on leadership responsibilities (TLR available) such as:
    • Leading girls’ PE provision
    • Coordinating extracurricular sport programmes
    • Supporting department development and mentoring colleagues

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Be a passionate and skilled PE practitioner
  • Have experience or a strong interest in promoting girls’ sport and physical activity
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be ambitious and eager to take on leadership responsibilities (where applicable)
