Job Overview

The College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant for the SEN Department. The role supports pupils with SEND to access the curriculum and achieve future development.

Hours of work: 11.66 per week. Working pattern:
Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave). Salary pro rata.

Working daily: 8:45am – 3:20pm, 2 days per week.

Closing date:
Friday 26 June 2026.

Support pupils with SEND learning and development. Provide individual attention, reassurance, empathy, and support. Work with a small group or pupils individually. Implement agreed behaviour management strategies. Collaborate with the SEN team and wider staff.

• Experience or interest in working as a Teaching Assistant.
• Ability to give appropriate individual attention and emotional support.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Consistent implementation of behaviour management strategies.
• Comfort with individual pupils or small groups.

• Supportive and experienced staff team.
• Entry into the LGPS pension scheme.
• Access to Battle Sports Centre.
• On-site nursery (ages 3 months – 5 years) with staff discount.
