We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join our school as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students within the classroom environment. This role is ideal for a recent graduate considering a future career in teaching, education, or educational psychology.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help students access the curriculum, build confidence in mathematics, and achieve their full potential.

• Supporting students during Science lessons, both one-to-one and in small groups; assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Helping students understand mathematical concepts and complete set work.
• Providing additional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties.
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Preparing learning materials and supporting differentiated activities.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

• A degree in Science or a closely related subject.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Be able to commute to Reading.
