Behaviour Support Leader

This role will oversee both our responsive and planned behaviour intervention provision, ensuring high-quality support for students who require additional guidance and support to succeed. It is an important student-facing role, focused on building positive relationships, supporting students, and helping them engage positively within school life. They work closely with families, teaching staff and pastoral teams, coordinating and delivering interventions and undertaking associated administrative responsibilities to ensure effective communication, monitoring and positive outcomes.

As a visible presence around the school, they model the school’s values, and play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture.

  • Oversee responsive and planned behaviour intervention provision.
  • Support students who require additional guidance and support.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, teaching staff and pastoral teams.
  • Coordinate and deliver interventions and associated administrative responsibilities.
  • Model school values and foster a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture.

Work schedule:

37 hours per week (08:15 - 16:15), term time only, plus 5 Inset Days.

Starting salary: £33,699 per annum (FTE). Pay progression linked to local government salary scale 22-26 (actual pro‑rated salary £28,985 per annum). The Wren is a member of the Royal Berkshire Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Employer contributions are set at 22.6%.
