General Science Teacher – Full-time, Permanent from September 2026

This General Science Teacher role offers a full‑time, permanent opportunity from September 2026 within a supportive secondary school setting. The General Science Teacher will deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the science curriculum, supporting students to build confidence, curiosity and strong scientific understanding. This role is ideal for a committed General Science Teacher seeking consistency and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Dutiesas General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging General Science lessons across the secondary age range
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to a broad ability range
- Deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student achievement
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team
- Contribute to curriculum development and shared resources
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
- Confident teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Organised, reflective and committed to continuous improvement
- Willingness to commit to a long‑term temporary and ongoing role
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
