SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS1 SEN Teacher to join one of our SEN Schools in Reading from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is suitable for teachers with SEN OR Primary experience who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs. We have multiple roles currently available for Reading and the surrounding areas (Thatcham and Newbury).

Role

You will be working closely with students who have complex needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic progress, communication, independence, and personal development. The role also involves close collaboration with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and inclusive education.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)or are motivated to pursue teacher training
  • Have previous experience working within a SEN environment (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching
  • Are patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
