About the Role A friendly and forward-thinking primary school in
Shinfield, Reading , is seeking a motivated and passionate Primary
Teacher to join its professional teaching team. This is a
full-time, permanent position , ideal for experienced teachers and
newly qualified teachers (ECTs). The successful candidate will take
responsibility for a class in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 ,
planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that inspire
pupils and support their academic, social, and emotional

Responsibilities As a Primary Teacher in Shinfield, your
responsibilities will include:
Planning, preparing, and delivering
engaging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National
Curriculum Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom
environment that supports academic, social, and emotional
development Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of pupils of
varying abilities, including those with SEN or EAL Monitoring pupil
progress using formative and summative assessment and adapting
teaching accordingly Maintaining high expectations for behaviour,
effort, and achievement Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and
personal development alongside their academic progress
Collaborating with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff, and school
leadership to implement targeted interventions Participating in
pupil progress meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide
initiatives Communicating effectively with parents and carers
regarding pupil progress, behaviour, and achievements Keeping
accurate records of pupil performance, assessment, and behaviour
Actively participating in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and
professional development opportunities Upholding safeguarding,
child protection, and school policies at all times The Ideal
Candidate The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
Holds
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has experience teaching in KS1 or
KS2 (ECTs welcome) Demonstrates excellent classroom management and
consistently applies positive behaviour strategies Is committed to
inclusive education , supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
Can differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all
learners Is reflective, proactive, and committed to ongoing
professional development Has strong communication and interpersonal
skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues Works collaboratively
as part of a professional teaching team Is passionate about making
a meaningful difference in children’s learning and development
