A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Reading is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher from September 2026. This permanent position is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and helping children achieve their full potential.

The Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and prepare pupils for the next stage of their education. You will create an inclusive classroom where every child feels supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
Work closely with colleagues to share ideas and maintain high teaching standards.
Develop strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.
About You
The ideal Year 5 Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice.
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
The ability to inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities.
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding educational outcomes.
