The RoleAs a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils as they continue their journey through Key Stage 1. You will plan creative lessons, establish strong classroom routines, and provide a stimulating learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum as a Year 1 Teacher
- Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress and use findings to inform effective teaching
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of all learners
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school improvement
- Encourage the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils
The ideal Year 1 Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skillsA passion for supporting and inspiring young learners
