Swimming Assistant

Salary: Hourly rate from £9.00 per hour (depending on age 16+)

Location: Bradfield College Sports Complex & St Andrews Prep School, Reading, Berkshire.

Shifts Available: Saturday Mornings, Sunday Mornings & Sunday Afternoon

Assist in the delivery of the Children’s Swimming Lesson Programme under the guidance of the Swimming Teacher, supporting early‑level learners. Provide personal supervision, demonstrate swimming techniques, and maintain a safe environment. Manage time‑keeping and organise shift arrivals. Follow all safety and procedural guidelines.

• Good swimming ability, confident in the water and capable of demonstrating techniques.
• Empathy and effective communication with young children.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• Strong time‑keeping and organisational skills.
• Willingness to undergo child protection screening (background checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service).

Full training provided and work uniform supplied.
