Role: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Reading
Start Date: September
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: 90 to 100 per day

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional learning needs? Are you a compassionate, patient and dedicated individual ready to help children facing social and emotional difficulties? If yes, then you can be the role model these children need as a Learning Support Assistant.

• Based in the classroom, provide 1-2-1 support for pupils.
• Guide small group activities and help increase interpersonal skills, communication, and everyday life skills.
• Support the class teacher and help create a fun and exciting learning environment.

• Previous experience working with children and/or adults with learning disabilities (professional or personal).
• A degree in a relevant field would be desirable (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminology).
• A Level 3 qualification in childcare is also desirable.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and nurturing approach.

The school cares for pupils with autism, ADHD, cognitive difficulties, speech and language needs, behaviour challenges, and moderate learning needs, and seeks a Learning Support Assistant to enhance learning, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
