Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students and promote excellent outcomes.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote curiosity, creativity and problem-solving through practical and innovative teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the STEM curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school/college through enrichment activities, clubs and events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM-related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, Cert Ed or an equivalent teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one where appropriate).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for STEM education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Industry experience is welcomed for vocational subjects such as Engineering, Computing and Design & Technology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
