Year 6 LSA - September 2026 Start

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 LSA to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Year 6 LSA to support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping them prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary school while building confidence and independence.

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provide targeted support in English and Mathematics.
• Assist pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum.
• Help prepare classroom resources and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils' independence, resilience, and wellbeing.
• Support positive behaviour in line with the school's policies.

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2.
• A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

This Year 6 LSA position is full-time, working five days per week on a temporary contract starting in September 2026. The successful Year 6 LSA will receive a competitive daily rate of £95-£105, depending on experience.
