Operations Support Assistant; OSA

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Support Assistants (lunchtime) to join our dedicated and supportive team at Green Park Village Primary Academy. September 2026 brings the growth of our school to include Year 6 and our Nursery, hence the need to further grow our team!

You need to be committed to providing children with a safe and enjoyable lunchtime period. The role supports children to be safe and happy during a key part of their school day. You will be inside supporting lunchtime eating and outside supporting play opportunities. In the lunch hall you would assist with setting up for lunchtime, providing water to drink, guiding on table manners and use of cutlery.

Outside you would be responsible for coordinating a range of interactive play activities, administering minor first aid, and ensuring the welfare and safety of the children.

As an Operations Support Assistant, you will be passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for children and giving them every opportunity to succeed. Every child is respected and treated as an individual and guided to have enjoyable lunchtimes which support their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

• Experience of working with young children
• Basic understanding of child development and learning
• Enthusiasm and dedication to caring and supporting pupils’ lunchtime activities

• A responsible and reliable person
• Confident in dealing with young people, maintaining the school's high expectation of learner attitude during all parts of the school day
• Able to relate well to children and adults
• Willing to work as part of a team
